Beanie Competition

Get your knitting needles and crochet hooks out and start making either adult or children’s beanies, enter them into the Show and then donate them to two wonderful organisations.

Adult beanies will be donated to Hilltop Albury Wodonga Patient and Carer Accommodation Centre managed by Fight Cancer Foundation which is a not-for-profit basis.

Entries may be delivered to the

• Craft Shop in Rutherglen, South Corowa Country Store
• and the Corowa Showgrounds from 11.30 to 4.00 pm each day beginning Monday 8th October 2018.

Entries are $0.50 each and there will be 1st and 2nd prizes to be won in each Section.

Also there will be a class for Novelty beanies for either adult or children’s beanies to be entered as well. Have fun and donate the beanies they will be appreciated by the adults and children attending these two worth while organisations.

All Beanies Will Be Donated

Hilltop Patient and Carer Accommodation Centre provides patients and their carers with high quality, affordable accommodation close to the Albury Hospital and other local treatment centres.

Children’s beanies will be donated to Maya’s Rest which is situated on top of a hill in Yass NSW and is set on 12 acres surrounded by beautiful countryside, a few minutes from Yass and 45 minutes to Canberra.

Maya’s Rest offers respite free of charge to families of children with serious illnesses and those in home based end of life care. They also offer time away for families who are grieving the loss of a child.
